Basic Sigil Magick

1 - The Sigil:

Sigils are symbols(not necessarily pictorial), or glyphs, representing a desire in a way that the Ego will not be conscious of what it is. They are built from a statement of intent, or simple drawing representing the intent. Then, that statement of intent, or drawing, is simplified and with it is made a simple symbol representing subconsciously the desire, but without any direct link or resemblance to it. Example:

First, we determine the statement of intent:

"It is my will to be able to build a web page as good as 'Gnosis Intoxication'"

Then, we take out the vowels and repetitive letters, we get:

TSMWLBDPGNX

From this we can make:
a. A pictorial sigil:



b. A mantra:

TSAMAWOLABADOPEGANOX(This one's a bit long...)

c. A gesture:

Repeat a certain gesture while concentrating on Statement of Intent. And, when you have reached a state of gnosis, or when it becomes repetitive and automatic, that gesture should be "charged" with the statement of intent. That method is still under experimentation, in my case, so don't believe what I'm writing, experiment with it.

2 - Charging the sigil:

There is an infinite number of methods to 'charge' or 'implant' those sigils into your subconscious mind, but here are a few of the classical ones:
- Sexual excitation until orgasm is reached. The Sigil is visualized before orgasm is attained.
- Visualizing the sigil, then causing intense physical pain to yourself.
- Entering a light trance, or state of meditation, and concentrating on a mental image of the sigil until a feeling of vacuity and no-mind, or gnosis, is reached.
- The sigil is visualized in a state of 'intense' sleeplessness.
- The sigil is visualized in an intensely emotional state(depression, horror/terror, anger, etc.)
- Chanting and dancing while visualizing the sigil until exhaustion.

Here are some more unusual methods:
- Visualizing the sigil and sneezing.
- Re-writing over and over the simplified statement of intent(TSMWLBDPGNX in the example above) in a word-processing program on your computer, until it becomes automatic and unconscious, at which point the sigil is charged.
- Cupping your hands and visualizing a ball of energy between them, in which ball your visualize the sigil. Then, you clap your hands loudly together and make a gesture of flinging outwards.(this method is from "Condensed Chaos")
- Repeatedly doodling a sigil until it becomes automatic and unconscious, or when bored, or depressed, etc.
- Subliminally including a sigil-mantra in a song that you listen to over and over, not thinking about the sigil(and the desire associated to it) itself.
- Subliminally including a pictorial sigil in some addictive computer game, for those skilled at programming, or in some board game that you like to play.
- Retaining your urine until it hurts a lot, then finally letting it go while visualizing the sigil.


3 - Forgetting the sigil:

You should forget about the sigil before charging it, while charging it, and after having charged it: While charging the sigil, the corresponding desire should not be brought to mind, and should be banished as soon as possible if it comes involuntarily. After the sigil has been charged, you should forget about the sigil itself, and the desire associated to it. If it comes to mind involuntarily, deliberately concentrate on other matters, trying to forget the sigil. For this reason, some suggest to deliberately lose the sigil, and rediscover it a few months, or weeks later, when it has been forgotten.


4 - Synthesis:

1. Make the statement of intent: "It is my will(some use 'wish' instead of 'will')...".
2. Simplify it by taking out vowels and repeating letters.
3. Make a sigil from it(mantric, pictorial, kinesthetic(a gesture), etc.).
4. Consciously forget about the desire associated with it.
5. Charge that sigil.
6. Forget about the sigil AND the associated desire.
7. The result should come when you have totally given up about it happening, and in the way you least expected it(unless it's impossible for it to come in any other way than what you expected...)

Note: Since it is necessary to forget about the desire and the sigil, once it has been charged, it is difficult to use sigil magick for intents with which one is obssessed... For example, using sigilization for the purpose of "getting laid" can easily fail, especially if one is obsessed with it. In such cases, it is better to resort to servitor creation... which is an entirely different story.
